Fortune Oil PLC25 October 2007 25 October 2007 FORTUNE OIL PLC ("Fortune Oil" or the "Company") NOTIFICATION OF TRANSACTION BY DIRECTOR Fortune Oil has been notified today that a contract to acquire 1,701,205ordinary 1p shares in the Company by Ms Li Ching, Chief Executive Officer hasbecome effective today, 25 October 2007. The acquisition price has been agreedat a price of 6 pence per share and 1,701,205 shares represent 0.093% of theissued share capital of Fortune Oil. Following this purchase, Ms Li now has an interest in a total of 18,983,775shares, representing 1.034% of the issued share capital of the Company, of which1,300,000 shares are held in a nominee account and she has a beneficialinterest. This notification is made in accordance with DTR 3.14R(1)(a) and (b).
