XENIF processor in production and powers PURE's latest internet connected radio

Toumaz Limited (AIM: TMZ, 'Toumaz', or 'the Group'), a pioneer in low cost, ultra low power wireless communications and broadcast technology, announces that its XENIF System-on-Chip (SoC) is now in production. It is a key component used in the latest ONE Flow product from PURE, the world's leading supplier of digital and connected radios.

XENIF is an all-in-one baseband and application processor which integrates several broadcast radio standards and Wi-Fi connectivity, enabling the next level of innovation in connected radio and audio systems. The XENIF SoC fully supports DAB, DAB+, DMB-R and legacy FM as well as built-in connectivity in the form of 802.11 Wi-Fi. 

It also integrates on-chip support for important interfaces and peripherals including colour touch screen and USB connectivity. This makes it ideal for a vast range of internet connected devices including broadcast radios, connected audio systems, advanced digital photo frame solutions and other emerging connected home appliances.

The SoC is the result of the collaboration between Toumaz and Imagination Technologies Group PLC, owner of PURE, and takes advantage of Imagination's UCC and META processor IP cores. 

The PURE One Flow product is the first volume implementation of XENIF in a consumer product and has gone into production on schedule, in time for Christmas sales. The XENIF device with its high-level of integration and its built-in support for connectivity is an ideal solution for next-generation products targeting the connected home.
