The highly integrated Toumaz TZ1090 'Xenif' device enables Pure to deliver the most advanced connectivity and multimedia capabilities in the latest members of its innovative radio and wireless music product ranges, while hitting aggressive price points and power consumption targets.

The latest products from Pure that are already shipping with Toumaz Xenif SoCs include:

·; Sensia 200D Connect - Pure's second generation touchscreen product

·; Highway300Di - Pure's second generation in-car product

·; One Classic Series 2

These products are all shipping now in markets world-wide, including Europe, Australia and the US as well as the UK. There will be further key products launching later in the year, all incorporating the Toumaz TZ1090 device.

The Toumaz Xenif SoC is a capability-rich single chip solution for cost-effective development of a wide range of Wi-Fi connected and/or DAB+FM radio products. Featuring an advanced 32-bit Meta™ hardware multi-threaded CPU running both Linux and advanced audio signal processing, together with two Ensigma™ RPUs (Radio Processor Units) delivering both 802.11 Wi-Fi plus DAB and FM radio demodulation, Xenif delivers the highest level of integration in the industry today for connected consumer audio devices in a single chip solution.

The Xenif SoC also features 512kB of on-chip memory, on-chip high performance audio DACs as well as full support for Imagination's latest Flow technologies, as used in Pure's innovative Lounge, Pure Music and music streaming offerings

Chris Toumazou, Executive Chairman Toumaz, commented:

"We are delighted to see the growing number of designs at Pure in volume production, thanks to the strength of our Xenif range of connected consumer multimedia SoCs. We are proud of the exceptionally high levels of integration we achieved with Xenif whilst delivering low system power consumption, together with comprehensive software support for radio and Wi-Fi connectivity, high performance audio decoders and a fully optimised Linux OS. As a result, Pure's engineers have been able to create many of their latest internet-connected digital radios that introduce new innovations and features to the market while also achieving exceptional price points. We look forward to working closely with Pure to deliver many more exciting new products using Toumaz SoCs in the months and years ahead".

Pure is the UK's leading digital radio brand. That success is now being replicated throughout Europe, Australia and North America, with over 4 million broadcast and wireless audio systems sold by Pure so far.

Says Paul Smith, GM Pure:

"Using Toumaz's Xenif SoCs has enabled Pure to deliver fantastic products and new features, such as smooth DLNA streaming, advanced cloud-connected apps and highly responsive touch-screen based user experiences. We have expanded the range of products from Pure now shipping using Toumaz SoCs, with many more to come, which reflects our confidence in the quality and capabilities of Toumaz products, and their capabilities as an innovative and trusted supplier of SoCs."

Toumaz Xenif SoCs are also being used by Alpine, a major brand in the in-car market, in their new EZi-DAB in-car product which is based on a design from Pure.
