Fisher (James) & Sons PLC08 December 2005 For Release 8 December 2005 James Fisher and Sons plc ("James Fisher") Completion of Acquisition James Fisher, the marine services provider, announced in September this year theacquisition of the business and the subsidiaries of the privately-owned Aberdeenand Stavanger based partnership Monyana Engineering Services, the market leaderin refurbishing, designing and supplying a large range of hydraulic winches andmarine equipment for rental and sale to the oil field services industry. Its acquisition provides James Fisher with a much increased penetration in amarket segment in which its Scan Tech subsidiaries are already active in boththe UK and Norwegian sectors of the North Sea. It also and represents a majorstep for the Marine Services Division, as well as a substantial expansion of thecompany's activities in Aberdeen and Norway, continuing to build on the coreexpertise of applying operational and engineering skills in the marine sector.
