FIRST QUANTUM MINERALS APPOINTS SHARON LOUNG, DIRECTOR, INVESTOR RELATIONS

First Quantum Minerals Ltd. ("First Quantum" or the "Company", TSX Symbol "FM", LSE Symbol "FQM") is pleased to announce the appointment of Sharon Loung as Director, Investor Relations, effective immediately. 

As Director, Investor Relations, Ms. Loung will be responsible for communicating with both institutional and retail investors globally and maintaining First Quantum's comprehensive investor relations program. 

Ms. Loung is well known in the mining and financial industries having held senior investor relations positions at Noranda Inc. and a number of mid-sized mining companies.
