First Quantum Minerals Ld03 October 2007 3 October 2007 Additional Listing First Quantum Minerals Ltd ("the Company") Application has been made to the Financial Services Authority and the LondonStock Exchange plc for 202,555 common shares of no par value to be admitted tothe Official List of the UKLA and to trading on the London Stock Exchange. Theseshares comprise (i) 555 common shares issued and allotted by the Company asconsideration for the compulsory acquisition of non-assented shares of AdastraMinerals Inc. following the takeover bid and plan of arrangement completed in2006; and (ii) 202,000 common shares issued and allotted by the Company on theexercise of options outstanding pursuant to the Company's Stock Option Planapproved in 2004 and amended in 2007 ("the Plan"). It is expected that theshares will be admitted and trading will commence on 4 October 2007. The shareswill rank pari passu with the Company's existing issued common shares. In addition, an application has been made to the UK Listing Authority and theLondon Stock Exchange plc for a maximum of 1,587,612 common shares of no parvalue to be listed under a block listing pursuant to LR 3.5.4(R) to trade on theLondon Stock Exchange and to be admitted to the Official List of the UKLA uponissuance. The block listing will be comprised of (i) 18,945 common shares to beissued as consideration for the compulsory acquisition of non-assented shares ofAdastra Minerals Inc. following the takeover bid and plan of arrangementcompleted in 2006; and (ii) 1,568,667 common shares to be issued on the exerciseof options outstanding pursuant to the Plan.
