Pre-close Statement
Rubicon Software Group plc ("Rubicon" or "the Company"), a leading provider of smart customer relationship
management IT solutions, today issues a pre-close trading update for the year ended 30th June 2008, prior to its
preliminary results announcement scheduled for 19th November 2008.
Rubicon is pleased to announce that results for the year ended 30th June 2008 are anticipated to be in line with market
expectations.
Despite the considerable impact of the extreme downturn in the second charge loans market caused by the credit
crunch, Rubicon has moved quickly and effectively to reduce operating costs and re-align marketing efforts.
We are also pleased that we have achieved solid repeat business during the second half from existing clients and
a new client win in the form of a 3 year agreement with Your Financial Solutions. This latest win is evidence that
clients using the Accelerator platform are still able to derive material benefits from our product despite a reduced
number of lenders, and the Board continues to believe that the proven operational efficiencies generated
by Accelerator will drive significant demand when market conditions improve.
Our efforts to broaden solutions beyond the mortgage and secure loans space have resulted in two new client wins for
our development services since the half year.
The year ahead will be challenging, but the Directors believe that, with a number of new opportunities in the
pipeline, the business is now well placed to move forward, despite the current adverse conditions.
