Transaction in own shares
Fyffes plc announces, under the authority granted by shareholders at its previous Annual General Meeting, it purchased 5,000,000 Ordinary Shares of €0.06 each in the issued share capital of the Company ("Ordinary Shares") on the market at a price of €0.39 per share on 16 September 2011.
The 5,000,000 Ordinary Shares purchased under this transaction will be held as treasury shares. In addition, Fyffes has authorised the cancellation of 4,000,000 Ordinary Shares previously held as treasury shares by the Company. Following this transaction, Fyffes plc has 324,608,191 Ordinary Shares in issue, excluding the 33,075,000 now held as treasury shares.
