Board Appointments

The Board of French Connection Group PLC ("French Connection" or "the Group") is pleased to announce the following appointments.

Group Finance Director

Lee Williams will take up the role of Group Finance Director with effect from 4 April 2016, filling the vacant position. Lee is currently Director of Finance for ASOS Plc, the global online fashion destination, where he has been for the last 15 months. Prior to that he was CFO of Worldstores and Head of Financial Planning and Analysis at Brighthouse Group Plc, having spent the majority of the earlier part of his career at WM Morrison's Plc and Kingfisher Plc in various senior finance roles.

Lee has amassed a wealth of commercial and financial retail experience, in both traditional multi-site operations but also, importantly, online. He is a member of the Chartered Institute of Management Accountants.

Independent Non-Executive Director

Christos Angelides has been appointed as an Independent Non-Executive Director of the Group with immediate effect. He will also serve as member of the Audit and Remuneration committees.

Christos brings significant expertise in fashion retailing, having spent the majority of his career at Next Plc in a number of senior management roles, with the last 14 years on the main board as Group Product Director. Latterly he was President of Abercrombie & Fitch and Abercrombie Kids in the USA.  

There is nothing further to disclose in relation to either appointment under LR9.6.13 of the Listing Rules.

Stephen Marks, Chairman, said: "I am delighted that Lee is joining us. He has extensive experience of working in senior finance roles at a number of retail businesses, but latterly with a specific focus in the digital environment.

We are also pleased that Christos is joining the French Connection Board. He brings substantial experience in fashion retailing in both the UK and USA and the Board will benefit from his knowledge and insight."
