21 December 2017 - Experian, the global information services company, announces the appointment of a new independent Non-Executive Director to the Board of Experian plc, effective from 1 April 2018.

Dr. Ruba Borno, 36, a US national, is a member of the Executive Leadership Team at Cisco, the worldwide technology leader delivering solutions to help securely connect digital business. In her role at Cisco, she helps guide strategy and leads priority initiatives across key partnerships, technology and investment strategies. Ruba is central to informing Cisco's digital and business transformation and that of its customers and partners.

Holding a Ph.D. and a Master of Science in Electrical Engineering, and a Bachelor of Science in Computer Engineering, Ruba was an Intel Ph.D. fellow at the National Science Foundation's Engineering Research Center for Wireless Integrated MicroSystems. She sits on the board of The Tech Museum of Innovation in Silicon Valley. Ruba was previously at The Boston Consulting Group (BCG) where she specialised in helping enterprises through complex technology transformations, and was a leader in BCG's Technology, Media & Telecommunications, and People & Organization practice groups.
