Director/PDMR Shareholding, Share Capital Update and Share Matching Plan Award

EPE Special Opportunities plc ("ESO plc" or the "Company") announces that between 21 March and 1 April 2014, the Company made further awards under the Share Matching Plan. Awards of Matching Shares totalling 250,001 were made with shares purchased out of Treasury by the Employee Benefit Trust (established under the Share Matching Plan) to satisfy the awards. All of the awards were made to Eligible Participants including Giles Brand (awards made over 28,571 shares) and three Directors of the Company, Clive Spears (awards made over 7,143 shares), Nicholas Wilson (awards made over 7,143 shares) and Robert Quayle (awards made over 7,143 shares).

Giles Brand (the Managing Partner of EPIC Private Equity LLP which is the Investment Advisor to the Company) purchased 5,309 shares in the market and now holds 6,299,706 shares representing 22.90% of the issued ordinary share capital of the Company.

Nicholas Wilson purchased 7,143 shares in the market and now holds 58,074 shares representing 0.21% of the issued ordinary share capital of the Company.

Clive Spears purchased 7,143 shares in the market and now holds 37,755 shares representing 0.14% of the issued ordinary share capital of the Company.

Robert Quayle purchased 7,143 shares in the market and now holds 37,755 shares representing 0.14% of the issued ordinary share capital of the Company.

All of the above trades were made at a price of 105 pence per ordinary share.

Following the above transactions, there continues to be 27,510,192 ordinary shares in issue (excluding shares held in Treasury).
