The Essentra plc Board announces that Jack Clarke will join the Board as Chief Financial Officer Designate with effect from 4 April 2022.

In November, the Company announced that Lily Liu, Chief Financial Officer of Essentra plc, had informed the Board of her intention to leave Essentra to take up a new role and that a search for her successor, who would go on to become the Chief Financial Officer for the Essentra Components business, had commenced.

The Board is delighted to have recruited Jack Clarke to succeed Lily and they will work closely together during the coming months to ensure a smooth transition. Lily will step down from the Board and the role of Chief Financial Officer at the conclusion of the AGM being held on 19 May 2022. At that time Jack will assume the role of Chief Financial Officer of Essentra plc. Lily will remain focused on the strategic review and her leaving date will be announced separately.

Jack brings extensive experience having previously been the CFO of Marshalls plc from 2014 until 2021. Prior to Marshalls plc, Jack was CFO of AMEC E&I from 2010 to 2014 and held several other positions in AMEC's international operating divisions having joined in 2006.

In accordance with Listing Rule 9.6.13 (1), Jack has previously advised his directorships and there are no other details to be disclosed under Listing Rule 9.6.13 (2) to (6).

As at the date of this announcement Jack does not own any shares in Essentra plc.
