Transfer of own shares out of treasury and Rule 2.9 announcement - relevant securities in issue
EDP announces that it has today transferred 325,000 ordinary shares of 5 pence each in the Company out of treasury pursuant to the exercise of Enterprise Management Incentive scheme share options by two employees at 45.5 pence per share and 58 pence per share respectively and by directors as detailed below.
Following the transfer, and in accordance with Rule 2.9 of the Takeover Code, the Company confirms that it has 13,025,976 ordinary shares of 5 pence each in issue and admitted to the Official List of the UK Listing Authority and to trading on the London Stock Exchange's market for listed securities under the ISIN GB0003101523.
The total number of voting rights in the Company as at 10 August 2018 is 13,025,976.
In addition, the Company continues to hold 758,097 shares in treasury.
The above figure (13,025,976) may be used by EDP shareholders as the denominator for the calculations by which they will determine if they are required to notify their interest in, or a change to their interest in, the Company's ordinary shares under the Disclosure and Transparency Rules (DTR).
