Appointment of new Non-Executive Director

Dublin, Ireland, 19th December 2008 - EcoSecurities Group plc ('EcoSecurities', or the 'Company'), one of the world's leading companies in the business of sourcing, developing and trading carbon credits from greenhouse gas emission reduction projects, today announces the appointment of Robert Flicker as a Non-Executive Director on 18th December 2008.

Robert Flicker (47) has over twenty one years experience in the Corporate Finance sector and has spent the last year as Managing Director with Credit Suisse International based in New York. He is head of the bank's American Commodities Markets for environmental products and power. Preceding this, Robert served as President and CEO of JP Morgan Ventures Energy Corporation and prior to this as a director of FXall. Robert holds an MBA from the University of Chicago and a BA from New York University.

Speaking in relation to the appointment, Mark Nicholls, Chairman, commented:

'We are delighted Robert is joining the Board. His expertise in the carbon markets will be of great value and will help the Company fulfill its long term strategic objectives.'

Paul Ezekiel remains as a Non-Executive Director of the Company and, following his departure from Credit Suisse, will be an Independent Non-Executive Director.
