Electrocomponents PLC07 July 2006 Electrocomponents Plc - Long Term Incentive Plan Award Electrocomponents Plc (the 'Company') announces that on 14th June 2006 thefollowing conditional award of ordinary shares of 10p each in the Company ('Shares') was made to the Executive Directors of the Company. Ian Mason (Chief Executive) 200,000 Shares Simon Boddie (Finance Director) 100,000 Shares No consideration is payable for the award. The award will vest depending on the achievement of a performance target over athree year performance period from the date of grant. The performance target isbased on the Company's TSR compared with that of the FTSE 250. For full vestingto occur, the Company's TSR must outperform that of the FTSE 250 by at least20%. No part of the award will vest if the Company's TSR is below that of theFTSE 250. The award will vest on a straight line pro-rata basis in betweenthese levels. The Company has been notified of this transaction in accordance with s324 of theCompanies Act 1985 and the FSA Disclosure Rules 3.1.2 R.
