Thomson Intermedia PLC23 March 2006 Thomson Intermedia plc Thomson Intermedia appoints Michael Higgins as Non-Exec Chairman Thomson Intermedia plc, a leading provider of media intelligence, has appointedMichael Higgins non-executive Chairman, with effect from 1 May 2006. He fillsthe role left vacant by the sudden death of the previous Chairman last autumn. Michael has committed to a minimum of one day a week to Thomson Intermedia toenable him to be Chairman of the Board and to work closely with the managementteam on the Group's strategic development and direction at a time when theCompany is faced with great opportunities for growth. Michael will also beChairman of the audit and remuneration committees. Michael, 49, has over 20 years experience of advising public companies, with astrong bias towards high growth businesses and the technology and marketingservices sectors. For the last 10 years he has been a partner at KPMG and heleaves the partnership on 30 April 2006 but has agreed to continue in anadvisory capacity on a part-time basis. Before KPMG he worked for 12 years inCorporate Finance at Charterhouse Bank, the last eight as a Director.
