Appointment of New Non Executive Director
e2v, a leading global provider of technology solutions for high performance systems, is pleased to announce the appointment of Dr Krishnamurthy Rajagopal as a new Non-Executive Director with effect from 1st November 2010.
Dr Rajagopal has considerable experience of senior engagement in global engineering operations and in the supply of materials, equipment and services to the global semiconductor and other high technology industries.
Dr Rajagopal, is currently Chairman of both UMIP Ltd and HHV Pumps Ltd and a Non Executive Director of Spirax-Sarco Engineering plc, Bodycote plc and WS Atkins plc. He is also a member of the Prime Minister's Council for Science and Technology and a Fellow of the Royal Academy of Engineering.
Dr Rajagopal biography:
Dr Rajagopal is past Commissioner with the Audit Commission, an appointment he held for three years until earlier this year. He has also been Non Executive Director of Dyson Group plc from 2007 - 2010, Non Executive Director of Foseco plc from 2005 - 2008 and Non Executive Director of FSI International, a NASDAQ company from 2000 to 2005. Dr Rajagopal was engaged with BOC Group plc from 1981 to 2006, as Chief Executive Officer of BOC Edwards and Executive Director of BOC Group plc from 2000 to 2006, as Managing Director of the Vacuum Technology Division from 1996-1998 and Managing Director of Edwards High vacuum from 1993-1996. Prior to that Dr Rajagopal held both operational management roles within the BOC Group. He has a PhD from the University of Manchester, an MSc in Manufacturing Technology (First in class) from UMIST, Manchester and a B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering (First class) from IIT in Madras.
