Board and Management appointments

Board

The Board of Dialight is pleased to announce the appointment of Stephen Bird and Tracey Graham as Non-Executive Directors of the Company with immediate effect.

Stephen is currently Group Chief Executive of The Vitec Group plc, an international Group principally serving customers in the broadcast, photographic and military, aerospace and government markets headquartered in the UK.  He was formerly a non-executive director of Umeco plc and previously Divisional Managing Director of Weir Oil & Gas, part of Weir Group plc. Prior to this he has worked in senior roles at Danaher Corporation, Black & Decker, Unipart Group, Hepworth PLC and Technicolor Group.

Tracey was previously Chief Executive of Talaris Limited, an international cash management technology business until 2010 where she led the company's management buyout from De La Rue Plc, backed by private equity house Carlyle in 2008. Prior to this, Tracey held senior positions in banking and insurance with HSBC and AXA insurance. Tracey is currently Non-executive Director of RPS Group plc and Albemarle and Bond Holdings plc, and Chairs their respective Remuneration Committees.

Bill Ronald, Chairman said: "I am delighted to welcome both Stephen and Tracey to the Board of Dialight. Each will provide additional skills that will further strengthen the Board. Following an induction period it is intended that Stephen will assume the role of Senior Independent Director and that Tracey will become Chair of the Remuneration Committee

Management

The Board is also pleased to announce the appointment of Dan Doxsee as Chief Commercial Officer with effect from 4 February 2013.

Dan is currently VP, America for Nichia Corporation, a privately held Japanese manufacturing company that produces LEDs, having held a number of senior positions there since 2004. From 1999 to 2004 he worked in product management and engineering roles at GE Lighting in the US having begun his career in research roles in Westaim Corporation and Symyx Technologies.

Roy Burton, Group Chief Executive said: "Dan's appointment is to a new role within Dialight and represents a significant addition to the strength in depth of the senior management team. He brings a strong technical knowledge base and understanding of LED lighting technology to Dialight as well as a real appreciation of the competitive landscape of the lighting market that will be of great benefit to Dialight as it continues to grow its lighting business globally."

There are no further matters to be disclosed pursuant to Rule 9.6.13 of the Listing Rules.
