Appointment of new Senior Independent Director

Following Luke Mayhew decision not to seek re-election at the Company's 2019 AGM, DFS Furniture announces that Alison Hutchinson has been appointed as its Senior Independent Director ("SID") with immediate effect. Alison, has been an independent Non-Executive Director of the Company since April 2018 and is a member of the Nomination Committee, the Audit Committee and is Chair of the Remuneration Committee.

This announcement has been made in accordance with the requirements of Listing Rule 9.6.11.
