Virtual Open Week

Launch of Virtual Open Week in the West Midlands to support educational establishments and students with career development and planning as a result of Covid-19.

Dev Clever, a leading developer of mobile and immersive experiences, is pleased to announce that its careers development platform, Launchyourcareer.com, will play a pivotal role in the Company's upcoming Virtual Open Week, a first-of-its-kind virtual regional careers event for educational establishments in the West Midlands.

Ensuring that careers development and planning is not halted during Covid-19, the event has been designed to give Year 10 and 11 students from over 300 schools across the West Midlands access to the Launchyourcareer.com platform. This gives students the opportunity to enhance their prospects by connecting them with the 21 colleges across the region.

Every school and college, as well as Careers Advisers and Enterprise Co-ordinators, in the West Midlands has been invited to participate in the Virtual Open Week. Participating schools will register on Launchyourcareer.com, where pupils will go through a process to identify the careers and subject areas that interest them the most. The week will then run with a timetabled series of live sessions and webinars designed and delivered 'virtually' by colleges, with students being matched to the most appropriate sessions via their selected choices on Launchyourcareer.com.

The event, which is a pilot for Dev Clever's platform, has been organised in conjunction with the West Midlands Combined Authority (WMCA) and is being supported by the Titan Partnership and the Careers Development Institute (CDI).
