Board Change

DCC plc, the leading international sales, marketing and support services group, announces the appointment of Mr. Tufan Erginbilgic as a non-executive Director and a member of the Remuneration Committee and of the Nomination and Governance Committee, with effect from 6 April 2020.

Tufan has been BP's Downstream Chief Executive, and a member of its executive team, since 2014, with responsibility for BP's global fuels, lubricants and petrochemicals businesses. He plans to leave this position at the end of March 2020.

The business had revenues of circa £160 billion, operations in over 100 countries and 45,000 employees, with a portfolio which included multiple business models - consumer goods, retail, business to business, manufacturing (refining and petrochemicals) and supply and trading. It was particularly focused on expansion in fast-growing markets, retail partnerships, electric vehicle charging and use of bioproducts. 

Tufan was previously Chief Operating Officer of BP's Downstream segment (2009 to 2014), Chief of Staff to the Group Chief Executive (2007 to 2009), Chief Executive, Lubricants (2006 to 2007) and held several other management and executive roles within BP (1997 to 2006).

Tufan also held various management roles in Mobil Oil (1990 to 1997).

Tufan is a former non-executive director of GKN plc (2011 to 2018).

The Chairman of DCC plc, John Moloney, said today:

His detailed knowledge and experience of new energy technologies and applications are of particular relevance to DCC as we continue to expand the range of cleaner energy products and services we provide."

There are no details to be disclosed under Listing Rule 9.6.13 (1) to (6) of the Listing Rules of the Financial Conduct Authority in respect of Mr. Erginbilgic.
