Statement re Dowgate Capital Plc ("Dowgate")
The Board of Daniel Stewart has seen the announcement made by Dowgate, which was released earlier today and confirms that, whilst it had very preliminary discussions with Dowgate, these discussions have been terminated.
For the purposes of Rule 2.8 of the City Code on Takeovers and Mergers (the 'City Code'), Daniel Stewart reserves the right to announce an offer or a possible offer for Dowgate and/or to take any other action which would otherwise be restricted under Rule 2.8 of the City Code within six months from the date of this announcement if there is a material change in Dowgate's circumstances.
