Appointment of Andrew McIver as Non-Executive Director

Daniel Stewart Securities plc (AIM: DAN), the investment bank providing corporate advisory, institutional stockbroking and wealth management services, announces the appointment with immediate effect, of Andrew Ross McIver, 52, as an independent Non-Executive Director. Mr McIver will also sit on the Company's Audit Committee.

Mr McIver was most recently Chief Executive of Sportingbet Plc, the leading international online gaming company, leaving in March 2013 after overseeing its sale to William Hill PLC and GVC PLC for £480 million. During his seven years as Chief Executive, Sportingbet Plc enjoyed a period of significant growth, despite having to refocus its operational focus, following regulatory changes enforced by authorities in the US. Mr McIver managed the process of refocusing; rebuilding; growing and eventually selling the business for a healthy premium to its then market value.

Prior to becoming Chief Executive of Sportingbet Plc, Andrew was Group Finance Director from 2001 to 2006. He started his career at Arthur Andersen where he qualified as a Chartered Accountant, before moving to Corporate Finance with Kleinwort Benson Investment Bank. He has also held senior finance roles at a number of well-known companies including: Signet Group plc, Ladbroke Group plc, British Telecom plc and House of Fraser plc.
