Board Appointments

Further to the announcement on 6 November 2019, CVS Group plc, one of the UK's leading providers of integrated veterinary services, confirms that Ben Jacklin and Robin Alfonso have now been appointed Board Directors with immediate effect in their respective roles as Chief Operating Officer and Finance Director.

Richard Connell, CVS Group Chairman, said:

"On behalf of the Board, I am pleased to welcome both Ben and Robin to the CVS Board as Chief Operating Officer and Finance Director respectively. They bring complementary skills to the existing Board, alongside those of Richard Fairman who became CEO in November.

"Richard, Robin and Ben have already been working very well together for some time, providing strong continuity of leadership and maintaining good working relationships across our wider management executive, and this is reflected in the Group's performance. Yesterday's positive AGM trading update reflects the continuing efforts of all our dedicated colleagues to provide the highest levels of clinical care to our customers and their animals. The Board looks forward to working with them all to deliver further success for the business." 

As previously stated, given the appointment of an additional executive director, CVS is also conducting an initial evaluation with regard to appointing an additional independent non-executive director to maintain appropriate balance on its Board, in line with its adoption of the UK Corporate Governance Code.
