T.CLARKE ANNOUNCES TRADING UPDATEÂ ANDÂ NOTICE OF RESULTS
T. Clarke plc, ("T. Clarke") the electrical and mechanical engineering services Group announces a trading update ahead of the announcement of its results for the year ended 31 December 2009.
Although the Group's markets remained competitive during 2009, trading during the year is expected to lead to trading results slightly ahead of market expectations.Â
As stated in the Interim Management Statement issued on 19 November 2009 the Board remains confident in the resilience of the business going forward, despite these challenging times. The Group enters 2010 a leaner business as a result of significant cost base reductions.
The Group maintained its strong cash position as at 31 December 2009 with cash balances in excess of £20 million. The Board is continuing to maintain its focus on cash management and on maintaining margins where possible, despite increased competition.
T. Clarke will announce its preliminary results for the year ended 31 December 2009Â on Friday 19 March 2010. There will be an analyst presentation at 9.30am on 19 March 2010Â in the offices of City Profile, Augustine House, 6A Austin Friars, London, EC2N 2HA.
