Non-executive director appointment

Consort Medical plc is pleased to announce the appointment of Andrew Hosty as a non executive director of the Company, effective immediately. Mr Hosty joins the Nomination, Audit and Remuneration Committees.

Following the appointment of Andrew Hosty, and as previously highlighted on 1 April 2014, Dr Lynn Drummond has now stepped down from the Board.

Andrew Hosty is Chief Operating Officer at Morgan Advanced Materials plc, an appointment he has held since February 2013. Prior to this Andrew was Chief Executive Officer of Morgan Ceramics and joined the Morgan Advanced Materials plc Board in July 2010. Before this he held a number of senior positions within Morgan Advanced Materials. Andrew is also a non executive director of British Ceramic Research Limited. Previously Andrew was a non executive director of Fiberweb plc from 2012 to 2013 and President of the British Ceramics confederation from 2003 to 2005.

Consort confirms that there are no further disclosures to be made regarding Andrew Hosty's appointment under Rule 9.6.13 of the Listing Rules.
