Board Appointment

Consort Medical plc (the 'Company') is pleased to announce the appointment of Nick Higgins to the board of Consort as an Executive Director (Corporate Development Director) with effect from 1 January 2011.

Nick joined Consort as Director of Corporate Development in January 2010. He joined the Company from Intercytex Group plc where he was Chief Executive Officer from 2005 to 2009. Prior to that he was Chief Business Officer of Acambis plc, a vaccines specialist, where he worked for 11 years.

Nick is currently a director of Regenerative Medicine Assets Limited (formerly Intercytex Group plc).

He currently has the following interests in Consort's ordinary shares:

Consort confirms that there are no further disclosures to be made under Rule 9.6.13 of the Listing Rules.
