Directorate Changes
The Board of Carpetright today announces that Sandra Turner and Alan Dickinson have been appointed as Non-Executive Directors of the Company with immediate effect. In addition, Simon Metcalf is standing down from his position as a non-executive director on the Carpetright board with immediate effect.
Sandra Turner was part of the Senior Management team that made Tesco the outstanding retail success story of the last two decades, holding senior commercial and operational roles in the UK and Ireland. She spent a total of 21 years at Tesco and from 2003 to 2009 she was the Commercial Director of Tesco Ireland, the number one grocery retailer in the Republic. She is also a non-executive director of Northern Foods plc.
Alan Dickinson spent more than 35 years in banking and is a former Executive Committee member of the RBS Group and Chief Executive of both RBS UK and the Bank's UK Corporate Banking business. He is also a non-executive director of the Nationwide Building Society.

Their respective track records in retail and banking speak for themselves and they bring a wealth of experience and complementary skills to the Company. I would also like to thank Simon for his valued contribution to the board over the past six years."
No other information is required to be disclosed pursuant to paragraph LR 9.6.13R of the Listing Rules of the Financial Services Authority in relation to either appointment as a Director of Carpetright.
