AGM Statement
Cenkos will be holding its Annual General Meeting (the "AGM") today at 9.30 a.m. at 6.7.8 Tokenhouse Yard, London, EC2R 7AS. At the AGM, the Chairman of the meeting will make the following statement in relation to the current year:
On 23 March 2023, the Company announced a recommended all-share merger with finnCap Group plc to create a market leading full-service advisory firm for growth and investment companies which, on a proforma combined basis, would have more than 210 retained listed or quoted clients and employ more than 230 colleagues. The combined group will build on its strong foundations across equity capital markets, M&A advisory, debt advisory and private growth capital fundraising. The Company continues to work on the execution of this exciting transaction, having posted the scheme document to shareholders on 20 April 2023 and will hold requisite court and general meetings on 17 May 2023.
Despite the Equity Capital Markets remaining challenging with relatively low levels of activity, revenue for the year to date continues to track ahead of the average run-rate for H2 2022. So far this year we have added 6 new clients, undertaken 9 fundraisings, including the IPO of Onward Opportunities Limited, and have a solid pipeline of further potential IPOs, secondary fundraisings and M&A transactions being worked on. As a firm, we remain focused on cost control, growing our market share and providing a first-class service to our clients and remain poised to take advantage of improving market conditions.
