Notification of Interest

Elektron plc (the "Company") was notified on 15th June 2011 that following a series of purchases and disposals of ordinary shares in the Company between 20 May 2011 and 8 June 2011, resulting in a net reduction in their holding of 267,377 ordinary shares, Panther Securities Plc has a total combined interest in 4,100,000 ordinary shares in the Company, comprising of 2,000,000 shares held by Panther Securities PLC and 2,100,000 shares held by Maland Pension Fund. This combined holding represents approximately 3.9% of the total voting rights in the Company.
