CINEWORLD GROUP plc Trading Update
The Board of Cineworld Group plc ("Cineworld" or the "Group") today made the following trading update for the 26 week trading period to 26th June 2008.

Cineworld performed as expected during the first half of 2008. The film release schedule in the first six months of this year was reasonably strong, and included films such as "I Am Legend", "Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of Crystal Skull", "Sex and the City", "The Incredible Hulk" and "Iron Man", set against a very strong film line up in the comparable period in 2007. Cineworld's box office market share of 23.6% remained unchanged from that previously announced at 24th April 2008.
The outlook for the remainder of the year is encouraging. The comparables will be challenging in Q3 due to the high number of blockbusters released in Q3 of 2007, although Cineworld expects there will be a strong recovery in Q4 of 2008.
The Group will publish its interim results for the six months ended 26th June 2008 on 21st August 2008.
