Leni Gas & Oil PLC06 May 2008 For Immediate Release 6 May 2008 LENI GAS & OIL PLC ("The Company") Oil production Increases to 4,428 bbls for April Leni Gas & Oil Plc (AIM: LGO) announces that oil production for the month ofApril totalled 3,996 barrels of oil (bbls) and 1,141 thousand standard cubicfeet (Mscf) of gas from the Ayoleungo Oilfield in Northern Spain. In addition, the Icacos Oilfield located on the Cedros Peninsula of SouthernTrinidad produced 865 bbls for the month of April. The Company's share of thisproduction is 432 bbls. David Lenigas, the Company's Chairman commented: "The development programme in Spain is starting to show regular and consistentimprovements in oil production from Ayoleungo and we are on track to deliver toour stated production target of 1,000bopd by the end of 2008. As part of our plans, the previously shut-in Ayo 22 well is expected to bebrought online later this month, with our focus then switching to the previouslyannounced water flooding programme. This will commence with the re-commissioningof the Ayo 33 well as a water injection well with the Company's field workoverrig. The Company is also planning on perforation programmes on producing wellsAyo 5, 18, 19 and 40 over the next few months. The Company is also working with our joint venture partners in Trinidad on aworkover program on a number of the shut-in wells with the view of increasingoil production there as well."
