Operational Update, Spain
Leni Gas & Oil plc today announces completion of the rig recertification and return of well Ayo-37 to production.
Further to the information given on the 20 October 2011, LGO can now report that the Company owned Cardwell service rig has been fully re-commissioned and returned to active deployment on field operations on the 27 October 2011. All routine maintenance and five-year safety checks have been completed and the rig mast and other equipment upgraded to meet all required safety standards.
The first task undertaken by the rig has been to return well, Ayo-37, to production which was successfully completed yesterday. No significant issues were found with the well which has been off-line due to a down-hole pump problem since 30 September 2011. The well has produced an average of 149 bopd since reperforation was undertaken during the well intervention campaign in June 2011.
