Contract Wins and Update

Further to the Interim Results announcement made earlier today, Clarity Commerce Solutions plc (AIM:CCS), a leading supplier of software solutions for the Retail, Hospitality, Entertainment and Leisure sectors, is pleased to announce the following contract wins and updates:

EuroPalaces

Clarity has been selected by EuroPalaces (Pathe & Gaumont cinemas) to provide the ClarityLive/TIMS 2010 suite as their next generation ticketing system. The roll out will continue over the next few months bringing new functionality in multi site, multi lingual, multi purchase kiosk sales and electronic ticketing as well as introducing state of the art point of sale technology. 

The contract is worth in excess of €1.0m of licence and hardware sales with a further €0.8m to follow from support and maintenance over the next 3 years.

In recent weeks, three further independent cinemas in France have selected the ClarityLive/TIMS 2010 suite for roll out in the second half of this financial year.

Dune Group

Following a competitive tender process involving several specialist retail software providers the Dune Group selected Clarity to provide its ClarityLive for Retail suite to all of its 43 stores. A three store pilot was successfully installed in September 2010 and the roll out across the wider estate will begin in the coming weeks.

The contract provides licence, hardware and services revenue of £0.4m with a further £0.1m of support and maintenance revenue over 5 years.

Merlin Entertainments Group

Further to the announcement of the contract with Merlin Entertainments Group in February 2010, and the successful installation at the Gardaland site, Merlin have placed orders for two further sites.

Coop Denmark

With our webstore development work for Coop Denmark completed in May 2010, in September 2010 Coop Denmark ordered further ClarityLive licences and associated development work for their Fakta chain.

Major entertainments and amusement parks group

In November Clarity secured a £0.2m contract with a major amusement park operator for existing key upgrade utilising our ClarityLive platform.

Commenting on the contract wins, Ken Smith, Clarity's CEO said:

"I am particularly pleased that EuroPalaces have chosen to cement our already strong relationship by placing the order for their new ticketing system. This was the first flagship sale of our new cinema solution following its market launch in the summer. The deal with Dune is our first in the UK fashion market and was won against stiff competition. The amusement parks market continues to be productive for Clarity and our new products look set to give us good penetration in both the US and Europe. During the first half of our financial year we saw extended sales cycles impacting on reported revenues but these new wins represent a significant step in ensuring that second half performance is markedly improved. "
