He will replace John O'Connell, who has been Chairman since April 2005. John isleaving in order to focus his time on a narrower range of software and relatedcompanies. The Board of Clarity is grateful for John's contribution in helpingClarity achieve its expectations, especially during the successful 2005/6 year. Tim Bittleston brings significant experience of the technology sector and inparticular, the retail software market. He has been associated with thesuccessful growth of several businesses and brings an in-depth understanding ofthe needs of tier-one clients. His other current Directorships include that of being Executive Chairman of theBasingstoke based IT Services company, Panacea Ltd, and non-executive Chairmanof Galleria Retail Solutions Ltd. Tim's other notable achievements include the sale of Pennine Retail Systems toAlphameric plc in 2000, and helping to turn around the fortunes of Avery Berkel.He has a reputation for building successful teams and improving value in thecompanies he has been involved in.
