BATM Advanced Communications Ld26 July 2007 BATM Advanced Communications Limited AGM Statement and Trading Update At the Company's Annual General Meeting to be held today, Peter Sheldon, Chairman of BATM, will make the following statement: "I am delighted to announce that the positive start to the current year, referred to in my statement accompanying the 2006 Accounts, has continued through the first half of 2007, where we have seen strong demand for our products across all of our sales channels and a continuing strong order book. We expect our interim results for the six months ended 30 June 2007 to show a turnover increase, over the comparable period last year, in the region of 15% to around $40 million and present indications are that second half turnover should exceed this level. Following our announcement on 21 May 2007 of a distribution agreement with one of Japan's largest technology distributors I can also announce further progressin the Japanese market. I can inform shareholders that, following successful rigorous trials, we have recently received an initial order for a pilot programme for Japan's largest telecom operator. Successful completion of the pilot, which will have a small but positive impact on our second half, should lead to substantial future orders and a far greater presence for BATM in the highly lucrative Far East market. We remain confident that we will make further progress this year and with othernew contracts, previously announced, due to impact in 2008, our medium term prospects are well secured."
