Burren Energy PLC01 February 2008 NOT FOR RELEASE, PUBLICATION OR DISTRIBUTION IN, INTO OR FROM CANADA OR ANYOTHER JURISDICTION WHERE TO DO SO WOULD CONSTITUTE A VIOLATION OF THE RELEVANTLAWS OR REGULATIONS OF SUCH JURISDICTION 1 February 2008 Burren Energy plc DELISTING OF SHARES IN BURREN ENERGY PLC AND CHANGE OF BURREN DIRECTORS AND OFFICERS Burren Energy plc ("Burren") notes the announcement by Eni UK Holding plc, awholly owned subsidiary of Eni SpA, that the Offer (the "Offer") to acquire theissued and to be issued ordinary share capital of Burren, has now becomeeffective in accordance with its terms. In accordance with the delisting process outlined in the offer document sent toBurren's shareholders on 11 December 2007 (the "Offer Document"), Burren hasapplied to the UK Listing Authority and to the London Stock Exchange to cancelthe listing of Burren's shares on the Official List and to cancel the trading ofBurren's shares on the Main Market of the London Stock Exchange. It is expectedthat this will occur on 29 February 2008, 20 business days following the date ofthis announcement. Furthermore, in accordance with the Offer Document, all the Directors and theSecretary of Burren have resigned as Directors and the Secretary respectively.Andrea Forzoni, Luigi Piro, Marco Bollini, Luigi Lusuriello and Marco Talamontihave been appointed as Directors with immediate effect and Nicholas Keenan hasbeen appointed as the Secretary with immediate effect.
