ACQUISITION OF THERASPHERE®
On 23 May 2013, BTG plc (BTG), the specialist healthcare company, announced that it had entered into an agreement to buy the Targeted Therapies division of Nordion Inc. (the Acquisition).
BTG is pleased to announce that the ordinary resolution to approve the Acquisition (the Resolution), as set out in the Notice of General Meeting contained in the circular sent to shareholders on 21 June 2013, was duly passed at the general meeting convened earlier today. Completion of the Acquisition is expected to take place on Saturday 13 July 2013.
The table below shows the votes received for and against the Resolution, representing a total of 78.75% of the 360,501,942 shares in issue as at the date of the general meeting:
