Appointment

B.P. Marsh & Partners Plc (AIM: BPM), the niche venture capital provider to early stage financial services businesses, is pleased to announce the appointment of Campbell Richard Scoones as Non-Executive Deputy Chairman with effect from 5th January 2015.

Campbell Scoones, aged 67, was appointed as a Non-Executive Director of B.P. Marsh in April 2013 and has over 40 years' experience in the Lloyd's and overseas insurance broking and underwriting markets. Campbell has worked for a number of Lloyd's insurance broking and underwriting firms during this time, including, inter alia, Nelson Hurst & Marsh Group, Admiral Underwriting, Marsh & McLennan Companies and Encon Underwriting. 

Commenting on this appointment, Brian Marsh OBE, Chairman of the Company, said: "I am delighted that Campbell Scoones is taking on the role as the Non-Executive Deputy Chairman of B.P. Marsh. As part of the Company's succession strategy, the Board felt that the time was right to develop this new position to take the business forward and Campbell is the ideal individual for this role."

Commenting on his appointment, Campbell Scoones stated: I am greatly looking forward to taking an increased role with the Company going forward, especially considering that 2015 should be another exciting year for B.P. Marsh."

Campbell owns 35,800 Ordinary Shares in B.P. Marsh which were purchased at the Company's IPO in February 2006.

Jonathan advises investee companies and has a number of non-executive appointments over three investee companies and evaluates new investment opportunities.

Daniel Topping is a Member of the Chartered Institute of Securities and Investment (MCSI) and an Associate of the Institute of Chartered Secretaries and Administrators (ACIS), having graduated from the University of Durham in 2005. Dan joined B.P. Marsh in February 2007 having started his career at an accountancy firm. In 2011 he was appointed as a director of B.P. Marsh and currently has a number of non-executive appointments over six investee companies and evaluates new investment opportunities.

Camilla Kenyon was appointed as Head of Investor Relations at B.P. Marsh in February 2009, having four years' prior experience with the Company. Camilla has a number of non-executive appointments over two investee companies, is Chair of the New Business Committee and is a Member of the Investor Relations Society.
