Board Change
British Polythene Industries PLC (BPI) announced today the intention to appoint David Harris as Group Finance Director following the resignation of Anne Thorburn, who will be leaving the Group on 24 July 2009 to take up an opportunity within the private equity sector. David will join the Board on Anne's departure.
David, a qualified FCCA, joined BPI in 1996 and has been employed in a number of financial and general management roles during his career with the Group, including Finance Director of bpi.industrial and Business Director of bpi.consumer. In his current role as Managing Director of bpi.industrial, he has been involved in the significant restructuring of that division's production facilities.
Commenting Cameron McLatchie, chairman of BPI, said:
"David is ideally suited to take on the role of finance director at BPI given his considerable experience of the company, in both financial and operational positions. Anne has been with BPI since 1996 and has made a major contribution to the Group. We are very sorry to be losing her, but wish her well in her new role
There are no additional disclosures required under Listing Rule 9.6.13 (sub section 2 to 6).
