British Polythene Industries PLC06 April 2005 6 April 2005 BRITISH POLYTHENE INDUSTRIES PLC British Polythene Industries PLC announced today that it has appointed Mr HamishMcLeod Grossart to the Board as Non Executive Deputy Chairman, in place ofProfessor Neil Hood who has been experiencing ill health and has decided toreduce his workload. Professor Hood will remain with the Group as a NonExecutive Director. Mr Grossart's appointment is with affect from 5 April. Mr Grossart, (47) is currently Deputy Chairman of Cairn Energy PLC and ScottishRadio Holdings PLC, Chairman of Indigo Vision Group PLC and a Director ofArtemis Investment Management Limited. After a career in investment banking, hehas, over the last 10 years, held a range of board positions in listed companiescovering a wide variety of industries. Past Chairmanships include: RoyalDoulton PLC, Eclipse Blinds PLC, Scottish Highland Hotels PLC, Hicking PentecostPLC and EFT Group PLC.
