British Polythene Industries PLC ("BPI") has been visited by officials from the European Commission ("EC") and the Office of Fair Trading ("OFT"), as part of enquiries which they are conducting into the agricultural films market. BPI is co-operating with the requests for information from the EC and the OFT. BPI has extensive guidelines and controls in place designed to ensure compliance with competition laws across its operations.
