Body Shop International PLC18 November 2005 The Body Shop International PLC Board Changes 18 November 2005 The Body Shop International PLC announces the appointment of Peggy Bruzelius andHoward Mann as Non-Executive Directors on the Board, with effect from today. Peggy Bruzelius, aged 56, is a non-executive director on the boards of a numberof companies, including Axfood AB, AB Electrolux, Ratos AB, Scania AB andSyngenta AG. Peggy has a long career in the financial services industry, havingspent 17 years in a variety of roles with ASEA AB and later ABB FinancialServices. Between 1991 and 1997, she was CEO of all of ABB's Swedish financialservices operations, with additional responsibility for the worldwide insurancebusiness. Since 1997, Peggy has served on the boards of a number of substantialcompanies, both listed and unlisted. Between 1999 and 2004, Peggy was anon-executive director of Drott AB. Howard Mann OBE, aged 58, has significant international experience in the foodand retail industries. Between 1995 and 2004, Howard was President and ChiefExecutive of McCain Foods Limited in Canada, a global leader in frozen foodswith manufacturing facilities in 13 countries and sales functions in over 80other countries worldwide. Previously, he held executive positions at RanksHovis McDougall, Fine Fare Supermarkets and Pedigree Petfoods. Howard iscurrently a non-executive director on the board of Dairy Crest PLC. Inaddition, he serves on the board of Endurance Specialty Holdings Ltd, aspecialty insurance firm. There are no other details to be disclosed in relation to Peggy Bruzelius orHoward Mann under Listing Rule 9.6.13R. Neither of them currently holds sharesin The Body Shop International PLC, either directly or indirectly. Peggy and Howard will both become members of the Nominations Committee, theAudit Committee and the Remuneration Committee. The Body Shop International PLC also announces today the retirement of Ronald deWaal as a Non-Executive Director, with effect from today. Ronald has served onthe Board since March 2000 and is currently a member of the Audit Committee, theRemuneration Committee and the Nominations Committee. In relation to the Board changes outlined above, Executive Chairman AdrianBellamy said: "We are very pleased to welcome Peggy Bruzelius and Howard Mann asNon-Executive Directors.
