Director Appointment

Further to the Company's announcement on 19 June 2023, Baron Oil Plc (AIM:BOIL), the AIM-quoted oil and gas exploration and appraisal company, announces that Dr. Andrew (Andy) Butler commenced his appointment to the Board of Baron as Director, Asia Pacific, on 1 July 2023.

Dr Andy Butler, commented:

"Having been closely associated with Baron for almost seven years, through our initial new venture partnership to the capture and de-risking of the TL-SO-19-16 PSC in Timor-Leste, I'm pleased now to be joining the Company as a Director. It is the right time for the Company, as we focus our efforts towards the appraisal drilling of the Chuditch gas discovery and the realisation of the value in the project for all of the Company's stakeholders."

Pursuant to Rule 17 and Schedule Two Paragraph (g) of the AIM Rules for Companies, Andrew John Butler, aged 52 is, or has during the last five years, been a director or partner of the following companies and partnerships:

Dr. Butler owns 628,601,442 ordinary shares in the Company ("Ordinary Shares"), equivalent to approximately 3.31% of the voting rights in the Company and has been granted 175,000,000 options over Ordinary Shares as announced on 14 July 2022.
