Bowleven, the Africa focused oil and gas group traded on AIM, today announces that Chris Ashworth has notified the Company of his intention to step down from his role as Non-Executive Chairman with immediate effect.

The Company would like to thank Mr Ashworth for his contribution to Bowleven and for the role he played in providing guidance through a period of transition. A search process to identify and appoint a successor has commenced, as announced on 13 December 2017. A further announcement will be made as soon as the details and the commencement date of Chris's successor have been agreed.
