Stanelco PLC08 September 2006 Stanelco PLC 8 September 2006 Stanelco PLC ("Stanelco" or "the Company") 8 September 2006 Trading update Further to the trading update on 17 August 2006, the Company is continuing tonegotiate with the two parties with which it signed letters of intent tocompound Starpol resin for the US market, and contracts are in the process ofbeing finalised. As the Company's portfolio of products moves closer to commercialisation, thecosts of this have increased relative to those in the first half of thefinancial year. As a result, the Company now expects that the loss for the sixmonths to 31 October 2006 will moderately exceed that of the first half. The Company is making good progress in discussions on the financing optionsavailable to it and will update the market once any further information isavailable.
