Appointment of new non executive director

Babcock is pleased to announce the appointment to its board of a new non-executive director, Mr Ian Duncan, with effect from 10th November 2010. He will also serve as a member of the Remuneration, Nominations and Audit & Risk Committees of the Board.Β
Mr Duncan was Group Finance Director of Royal Mail Holdings PLC from 2006 until June of this year . He is a Chartered Accountant and his former roles have included the position of Corporate Finance Director at British Nuclear Fuels and as Chief Financial Officer and Senior Vice President at Westinghouse Electric Company LLC in Pennsylvania, USA.
Welcoming Mr Duncan to the board, Chairman Mike Turner said "With his strong operational and financial background in large service and engineering businesses, we are extremely pleased to have Ian join us at this exciting new stage in Babcock's development."
There is no information to disclose relating to Mr Duncan under Rule 9.6.13R of the Listing Rules.
