Board Appointment

CareCapital plc (AIM: CARE), the healthcare real estate developer and owner, announces that Margaret McDonagh has joined the Board of the Company as a Non Executive Director, with immediate effect.

During her varied and highly successful career to date, Ms Margaret McDonough BSc MA, 46, has held a range of senior positions within both public and private organisations. She is currently a Non Executive Director of both Standard Life plc, having been appointed to the Board in February 2007 following the company's demutualisation, and TBI Plc, a major airport owner in Europe and the Americas. Margaret was also a Director and Founder of BBM Consultants Ltd , and Chief Executive Officer of AM Creative Ltd, a talent management agency.

Prior to this, Margaret enjoyed an illustrious 15 year career with the Labour Party, which culminated in her becoming both the first female, and youngest ever General Secretary of the Party in 1998. She took up this post after having acted as General Election Coordination for Labour's landslide General Election victory in 1997. Margaret worked closely with the Prime Minister during the Party's first term and through its second landslide General Election victory in 2001. She is now a life peer in the House of Lords.
