Issue of Equity

Further to an announcement by the Company on 9 February 2010 which set out details of a placing to raise £400,000, Atlantic, the AIM listed open cast coal production and processing company with activities in Pennsylvania, USA, is delighted to announce that, in response to market demand, the Company has placed a further 20,000,000 new ordinary shares of 0.07pence each (the "Placing Shares") in the Company at a price of 0.5p per share, raising £100,000 (before expenses) for the Company (the "Placing"). The Placing Shares will represent 1.3% of the Company's enlarged issued ordinary share capital.

The net proceeds of the Placing, which has been arranged by Allenby Capital Limited, will be used by the Company for general working capital purposes.

Atlantic Managing Director Steve Best said: "We are delighted that, as a result of market demand, we have been able to complete this further placing. As with the placing that was announced on 9 February 2010, this placing provides the Company with additional working capital and will allow us to continue our work with Maple Carpenter Creek."

The Placing has been carried out within the Company's current share authorities and application has been made for the 20,000,000 new ordinary shares, which will be issued paid up and rank pari passu with all existing ordinary shares, to be admitted to trading on AIM ("Admission"). It is expected that Admission will be effective on or around 15 February 2010.

The total enlarged issued share capital of Atlantic following Admission will be 1,485,846,350 ordinary shares in the Company. The above figure may be used by shareholders as the denominator for the calculations by which they will determine if they are required to notify their interest in, or a change to their interest in, the share capital of the Company under the Disclosure and Transparency Rules.
