Mwana Africa PLC12 July 2007 Mwana Africa plc (the "Company") Exercise of Options London, 12th July 2007 - The Company was informed today that Oliver Baring,Executive Chairman, and Kalaa Mpinga, Chief Executive Officer, of Mwana Africaplc, have exercised options over respectively 3 million and 2 million ordinaryshares at an average exercise price of 43p per share. These shares have beenplaced with investors at a price of 78p per share, of which 62,500 were acquiredby Oliver Baring's pension fund. Following this transaction, Oliver Baring's total beneficial interest in theCompany increased to 967,976 shares and Kalaa Mpinga's total beneficial interestin the Company has not changed. The total number of ordinary shares in issue following this exercise of optionsis 267,881,786.
